Description

This course provides students with an overview of computer and software engineering, as well as strategies for being successful at MSOE. Student teams build working embedded computer systems using an engineering process that includes system requirements, design, implementation and verification.

Course Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will:
  • understand the embedded system model
  • be familiar with computer programming constructs
  • demonstrate an ability to describe what engineers in various disciplines do
  • use an engineering process that includes system requirements, design, implementation and verification
  • be able to function effectively as part of an engineering design team
  • have planned and delivered a technical presentation
